Release date: November 18th 2011 - Breaking Dawn Part 1

1st Premiere: Rumoured to be France, but also likely to be in London. Historically, it's been in the US of A!

Irish Premiere: There is usually something for Ireland - we are in touch with the PR agency who are launching for Ireland and will update as soon as we have specifics!

Competitions: Usually these launch in the months prior to the release, September earliest.

Images of the honeymoon scene were leaked - Rob gives a message to whoever leaked them! Summit even released a statement

Jan 2011 -IMDB now states UK release date of Nov 18th as well, which means Ireland will probably have the same release date!

Official picture of Bella and Edward in Breaking Dawn Part 1 released, it's the honeymoon scene!!

IMBD confirms 18th November 2011 to be the release date for Breaking Dawn, Part 1. (Source) This is probably a US release date, and the Irish release date is yet to be confirmed.

Summit Entertainment will open the fifth and final "Twilight" film on Nov. 16, 2012 -- nearly a full year after the fourth film -- with the official title "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2."(source)

Maggie Grace is confirmed to be playing Irina in Breaking Dawn. Macenzie Foy is rumoured to be playing Renesmee.

The Denali Coven in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN has been cast! Christian Camargo (THE HURT LOCKER, Dexter) plays Eleazar, Casey LaBow (Moonlight) is Kate, Mia Maestro (Alias, POSEIDON) is Carmen, MyAnna Buring (DOOMSDAY) is Tanya and the previously announced Maggie Grace (Lost, TAKEN) plays Irina.

Rumoured that BD would be in 3D but this has been confirmed to be unture.

Melissa Rosenberg confirms via her Facebook Page that there WILL indeed be a bloody birth scene, and even sex scenes, in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.

Hi y’all! Not sure where some of you got the impression I intended to leave birth scene out of Breaking Dawn, but it’s inaccurate. Of course the birth scene will be in there! And the sex scenes! And the feathers! And the blood! Perhaps you misinterpreted what I said about not needing to see BUCKETS of blood in order to convey the terror of the birth scene. But rest easy all! xoxo Mel"

What does this mean for ratings though - it's got to stay 12s at least, right? Stephenie Meyer herself has said that. Still though, OMG FEATHERS! A rep for Summit confirms that the Breaking Dawn films will definitely be PG-13. SOURCE

Summit confirms that Breaking Dawn will be filmed in two parts, and that the whole cast has signed on to take part. This is generally considered to be the best news for the saga.
